Music on Mill Ave

I went to Arizona State University in the late 80's and 90's. During that time Mill Ave was still transitioning from it's seedy roots but wasn't yet into it's sanitized version that is there today. Clubs like Long Wongs, Chuy's and Edcell's Attic were great places to see bands every weekend. Some of my favorites included Gin Blossoms, Dead Hot Workshop and Rain Convention.

In the process of trying to transfer some old cassette tapes to the computer I realized I had some demo and concert tapes from some of those bands. Over the next little while I'm going to try and share those here for anyone else that enjoyed those bands back in the day.

Here are some tracks from a demo tape from Rain Convention called 'Braided':

And from another demo tape called 'For Impatient Faces':
Let me know if you remember these bands as well and have any other copies of their music. Thanks.
